Enige kennis van de beatlehistory is handig maar niet echt nodig want de film is op zich al koddig genoeg. De teksten zijn komisch, en soms zelfs zo absurd dat je niet kan ophouden met lachen. Er zitten mannen van het Monty team in dus eigenlijk kan het niet anders. De bijdragen van bekende muziekheldenals Paul Simon en Mick Jagger zijn verrassend origineel.En de muziek van Neil Innes is gewoon heel erg mooi, aanleunend tegen bestaande songs maar steeds net een tikkie anders.
