Als je in je shop bent, staat vlak boven de items een zoekveld. Volgens mij kun je daar een catalogusnummer invullen en zoeken.
Zelf heb ik geen postzegels in mijn shop, dus kan het niet controleren.

Vervolgens in het zoekveld vlak boven de items bijvoorbeeld het catalogusnummer 2784 invul, krijg ik :

Zoek eens op 686, niet in de bovenste zoekbalk, maar in de zoekbalk vlak boven de items.

NVPH bv. is er zo een, daar werd t.b.v. CaR voor zegels buiten Nederland 't een en 't ander in geplaatst.
Het veld is niet meer zichtbaar nu, maar bestaat nog wel degelijk. En de inhoud is nooit leeg gemaakt.
Zou het kunnen?

Maar zoeken op slechts 2 karakters blijft moeizaam, omdat er wordt gezocht op alles bij dat item.

Heren, als ik in Aart's shop op 95 zoek, vind ik wel hits met SPATIE95. Dus een echt lege plaats voor die 95. Bijvoorbeeld #355883, met oplage 9.508.700 Maar dan zoek je wél op 3 karakters, want die spatie telt ook mee.

Aan hits geen probleem, ik gaf het voorbeeld ijsland, maar het gaat te ver als zelfs in History ook word gezocht naar 95, ik neem aan dat een zoekfunctie toch voor 95% bedoeld is om een catalogusnummer te vinden.
het is blijkbaar ook zo slim om zelfs de invoerdata van een verkoper te vinden.
hoe moeilijk kun je het maken.
krijg je met het vergrootglas ook 100 hits van verkoper te zien als iemand toevallig Bloem heet van zijn achternaam.
in die zin wordt het wel onoverzichtelijk.

hoe moeilijk kun je het maken.

aartingeBij shops worden ook de notities bij de te koop aangeboden items doorzocht, bij de catalogus heb je dat veld niet. Als daar ergens in die eigen notities 95 is geschreven, dan zie je dat terug in de resultaten bij het zoeken in je shop.

Er wordt niet gezocht in de Historie.

Het verschil is dat alleen die spreadsheet gebruikt en ons zoekveld door duizenden mensen.
Het bovenste zoekveld zoekt op het niveau van een rubriek (of gehele catalogus). Het tweede zoekveld zoekt in de selectie die je hebt gemaakt en dit functioneert zeer goed.
Bij de postzegelrubriek is specifiek aangegeven dat er ook gezocht wordt op catalogusnummers, daar werd destijds om gevraagd.
