Dus voor mij liever een minder bekend nummer van Donovan:

Ik ben zelf nu behoorlijk onder de indruk van de Netflix-serie Wednesday en dan met name de soundtrack. De scene dat ze op het dak cello speelt is fenomenaal. En dan heb ik het nog niet gehad over Goo Goo Muck van The Cramps :-)

I myself am now quite impressed with the Netflix series Wednesday and especially the soundtrack. The scene where she plays the cello on the roof is phenomenal. And then I haven't even mentioned Goo Goo Muck from The Cramps :-)

Netflix heb ik niet en ik weet ook niet of ik zo'n serie zou bekijken, maar gelukkig is de door jou genoemde muziek op Youtube te vinden.
De cellosong is inderdaad geweldig, heel fraai hoe 'Paint It Black' daarin verweven is,
En ook een erg fijn nummer van The Cramps. Helaas hebben we in de catalogus geen rubriek Psychosurf ;-)
Sinds ik in 1994 een (lang) interview met The Cramps las in Incredibly Strange Music volume 1 (LD #5921963) kunnen ze bij mij geen kwaad doen. Voordat ze The Cramps oprichtten, waren ze platenverzamelaars op zoek naar oude rock & roll en garagerock. Het ging dan vooral om de B-kanten, omdat daar de meest wilde muziek op stond.

The cello song is indeed great, very nice how 'Paint It Black' is interwoven in it,
And also a very nice song by The Cramps. Unfortunately we don't have a section Psychosurf in the catalog ;-)
Ever since I read a (long) interview with The Cramps in Incredibly Strange Music volume 1 (LD #5921963 ) they can do no harm to me. Before forming The Cramps, they were record collectors looking for old rock & roll and garage rock. It mainly concerned the B-sides, because they contained the wildest music.

FransSVan Larkin Poe had ik nog nooit gehoord, maar het valt niet tegen. Wat een lekkere strakke uitvoering van Black Betty! Wat mij betreft veel beter dan de versie van Ram Jam.
FransSI had never heard of Larkin Poe, but it is not disappointing. What a nice tight performance of Black Betty! Much better than Ram Jam's version in my opinion.
