hello to all collectors and those interested on this site.

my name is hanny and i am together with my husband etc. four years ago, haha while buying a bed from a family in dirkshorn who had attic sales, where we saw a collection of ford model cars and liked that very much, and because this family of a farm went to an apartment and had to downsize, we were able to take over this collection. What makes us interested in cars is that my husband is a mechanic and lover of cars / old timers, I shared this interest with him, which is why I am now in a DAF coupe 66sl row from 1973.

but then you have those fords at home and you go look on the internet, and then you end up at lledo / days gone, which I liked so much that I spontaneously started saving these model cars. In the meantime we have 1300 of them a lot of them come from the UK. Now it is true that I can keep looking, but what is offered, we generally have in-house.

so then you look for another activity and that's how I found the stick pins on the internet, which also appealed to me, which is now my next collection / activity.

recently bought a batch of around 4500 pins and now trying to find out all that, so now also a lot of duplicates that I will offer for a reasonable price in my shop, but it is also free for everyone to combine and order bid, or exchange it if necessary.

hope that I will have a lot of fun at Catawiki, greetings from hanny and ed.

Hello,

I am Dirk. In my youth I was a stamp collector and dealer. Especially the Netherlands, Japan and Agriculture were my gathering areas. However, I always had a lot of stamps from the rest of the world and a fairly high turnover rate in the businesses at the youth club. Because I received a lot, I sold a lot for very little or gave away a.o. because I especially wanted to help new youth members quickly on their way with collecting and creating nice exchange material.

Now the time to clean up has come. My collection areas of yesteryear will remain and may even be supplemented somewhat. I want to make the rest and what I have double or more available to others for favorable prices.

Besides stamps I am also a general collector but not very focused. In this too I started cleaning up and selling. Especially to make room.

Let me also introduce myself

I have been there for about a year now, but please introduce myself. I collect stamps, and at the moment I am mainly concerned with the Soviet Union. I find the stamps most interesting until about 1965. I found some stamps at a flea market last year, added them to an old collection, then discovered Catawiki and saw that collecting is quite fun like this.

Why Eastern / Europe / Soviet Union? As with more people, the reasons are not so clear. Yes, I wrote a paper about the Russian revolution in high school and went to Berlin and East Germany with the Mavo. That was a while ago, but apparently it made a sufficient impression.

In the meantime I am also reading a textbook about Russia through the ages, I have only just arrived at the rise of Moskovie, so I still have a while to go.

Tonight there will be a nice film about Genghis Kahn on TV: for the fans.

Hello,

I joined this site today. After reading an article about Catawiki yesterday. I think it's a nice site and have now started to build a shop. I am a lover and collector of antiques and curiosities. By now I have a large collection and I want to put some of my stuff here and sell it. I also have a number of articles of which I would like to know the history and value. Perhaps there are people here who can tell me something.

Alexa.

Hi,

My name is Pelle and I have been collecting vintage computers and video games for quite some time now. This varies from old VFD handhelds from the 1970s to Jamma and NeoGeo games for my video cabinet. I came across Catawiki by chance and I think it would be nice to contribute to this great initiative wherever possible.

Gr,

Pelle

Hello Everyone,

let me introduce myself, I am Monique. and also registered with catawiki. I got this tip from an acquaintance. I have acquired many collections through an inheritance. I want to sell it gradually.

this includes comic books (suske en wiske, blue blouses, donald duck, and much more) and images of suske en wiske and laurel and hardy. find out and sometimes be scared what some things can yield. maybe there are some of you who can give me tps on what to look out for. what I can do best.

saw for example the first issue of the weekly magazine suske en wiske, that it can yield about € 10 why is that then

go to a market in a month to sell some things, of course you want a good price.

Greetings Monique

Hello Monique,

welcome to the family of CataWiki users. You will soon notice that you will be using this site a lot, because it contains a lot of information. This site is primarily intended for collectors, but of course you can also sell things on it. If the item you want to sell isn't on there, add it to the CataWiki catalog and make other collectors happy too, because maybe they didn't have that item or didn't have time to add it to the Catalog.

When you go to the market, it just depends on what kind of market you go to. If it's a market for collectors, you can probably use the prices listed here in CataWiki. However, if it is a regular market or a flea market, there are not always collectors looking for the things you want to sell. They usually find the prices too expensive. Pay close attention to that!

On 19 and 20 November there will be a large collectors fair in the Jaarbeurshallen in Utrecht. If you have your market after that time, you can also find inspiration here. There are many collectors walking around on this market and they see many things as additions to their collection and therefore want to pay a little more for that.

Furthermore, the prices listed here are asking prices or target prices and that does not always mean that there are people who are willing to pay.

A very long story, but I hope I have informed you sufficiently and good luck with the sale! Do you actually collect yourself?

Greetings Jouke (DisneyMeentwijck)

Oh yeah! To stand out, you can make the text bold . But to put entire message in that form reads very annoying. That's like writing in CAPITAL LETTERS! It almost comes across as screaming and that is not the intention. After all, we all want to be nice to each other. (This has already been improved and can now be seen as a tip for the other people)

Maybe you started with bold letters and couldn't get them out. That almost always happens to me, so I write the text first and then edit it.

If you post to a forum and it doesn't matter which forum, any visitor to CataWiki can read the latest posts by clicking the link Recent posts in all forum clicking. So people who follow that section will see your message at the top. Unless mass messages are posted (such as recently with the Tintin contest), your message will be on the first page for a while and people can respond. So use that link and you will be kept informed of the latest news at CataWiki.

HI

have adjusted text hihihi had not seen that there was a button change.

go and have a look at the collectors' fair

what I want to sell the market are all comic books of which a lot of them are in circulation, including suske en wiske. and DVDs

I also found out that people want to sit on the first one for a dime. used to go to flea markets with my grandfather a lot (he sold a lot himself). so I know what to do.

furthermore still figuring out catawiki am amazed at what is being collected.

Dear Nathan741,

You don't have to use so many exclamation points. If you use 1, everyone will understand that you are trying to make a point. You just don't sign your message with your real name, so as far as we know your name is simply Nathan741.

Collecting is a very fun addiction and you probably never get rid of it if you wanted to. I also collect comics and as for the ducks in other languages I only collect them when I come across them, but not to have them all, as I do with all Dutch Ducks. I have French, German and 1 Russian (the one with the pin) Donald Ducks. And I'm talking about paperback books, magazines, puzzle books and albums.

If you want to meet other collectors of Ducks in other languages, you can indeed start a topic on the forum. I advise you to post this either in the CataWiki Café or under General with the subject: Who collects Ducks in other languages?

I hope for you that your definition of comics only refers to the Donald Ducks, otherwise your collection will never be complete and you will soon run out of space. At least I have. Unfortunately, a lot is in boxes.

Good luck with collecting, by the way my real name is Jouke and you can also see that in my profile.

@disneymeentwijc

sorry for using so many exclamation points

is that really a big deal?

no, right

And unfortunately I have very changing comic interests so there are already heaps of non-native Donald ducks in groite boxes in my room

my newest acquisition arrived today and da is a donald duck and friends from arabia very special

It even has an article about osama bin laden

then still alive

and my real name is nathan and I am Flemish

now ok

otherwise just say it

Dear Nathan,

it is not intended to be a reproach to you, but rather a comment on how the forum is used here. There is no point in using a lot of exclamation points to get attention. It's not forbidden, but it's not neat. Any forum post will be read anyway and if one wants to respond to something, they will. If you then see a message with many exclamation marks, you are often inclined not to respond. That is why I gave / gave you that tip.

Furthermore, a message does not have to contain so many enters. It is neat to use them, because they make a message much more readable, but too much is not pleasant to read either. It is a matter of finding a balance.

I hope this has helped you and good luck choosing your comics.

Introducing: Hans and Miranda Wolf have an internet shop with more than 8000 different items, aimed at the collector. We have discovered Catawiki and want to use that way to place the collector's items in a catalog.

At Catawiki we will be introducing the 2500 thimbles that we have released ourselves. The Pokemons will also get a place on Catawiki. We have already started with the model cars ...

Piece by piece…

Welcome to CataWiki! This site is not an advertising site and this call is not actually intended. However, what you mention is that you are going to enter all your items in CataWiki as well and that is a very good thing. Via the Shop at CataWiki you can then make the link to your own website. There are many who do that.

Furthermore, it is of course also possible to become a Professional Shop within CataWiki. I believe this can be done on request. As a Professional you will have a very reliable reputation and it will also have many advantages within CataWiki.

Fortunately, you already have the items in digital form, because I think they are also on your website and so it is a little easier to enter them. However, it remains a time consuming job.

Good luck and enjoy the CataWIki system.

Sorry, we certainly do not intend to abuse the forum.
It's more a matter of being enthusiastic .. maybe a little too much ..

But: we will hopefully be able to make a good contribution to Catawiki.
Perhaps there will even be a separate, stand-alone, thimbles section

We are new at Catawiki: we still have to find out the pros and cons of a professional shop ..

Thanks for the welcome word, let's get started.

greeting

Hans and Miranda

Sorry, there is certainly no intention to abuse the forum.

Did you see that you can edit a message by clicking on "Edit message" and fix it that way?
Would you like to do that?
Otherwise, a moderator must intervene.
Indeed, we do not want this on the forum.
Everyone has something to sell.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I will introduce myself. I am Tijm, collector of (mainly) DVDs in special versions and editions, in all kinds of genres.

I am now quite familiar with the Catawiki system and have also made a small contribution to the catalog by importing various DVDs and DVD box sets.

I plan to use Catawiki a lot, so who knows, I might talk to you (the reader) sometimes :)

MvGr,

Thyme (ThaClown)

Hello everyone,

I am Rick 26 years old and I have loved comics since I was little and now I have been collecting them for a while. It all started with a suske and wiske that I got that was "the circus baron" now I have about 800 comics. Maybe not as impressive as some other collectors but at the moment I don't have room for many more comics. The comics that I collect are suske en wiske, peek-a-boo (the peek-a-boo), the duck family, red ears and some others, especially the comic book series and advertising edition

Greetings, Rick
