Hi,

I know.
This question may have been asked before, but I couldn't really find a good answer.
That is why I also ask.
I have been in the process of entering my collection via the Catawiki website, but I cannot really find my feet in it.
Sometimes you have to go all the way back to the start page and select my collection or a category through the catalog before you can enter your item.

Why not an option in "My collection" to add a new item?
Anyway , I guess it is.

But I was wondering what do you use to keep track of your collection?
There are so many programs, but these are only suitable for books , records, music, films etc (like Collectz)
But what if you have something that does not belong here?
Just a collection of houses or something.

I would prefer want to view my collection on my phone or tablet.
This for when I'm on the road.

I'd love to hear from you and thank you for all your tips.

Data crow, but it doesn't have an app yet as far as I know.

Furthermore, everything can be set the way you want, so every collection can be kept.

I had indeed run into Data Crow before.
But I hadn't noticed that they had an app.

I looked at it again and I saw that they had some reports that you can generate.
Does anyone know by chance or that you can read / view those reports on an android device?

So I was wondering, what do you use to keep track of your collection?

I use catawiki.

It I would prefer to view my collection on my phone or tablet.

I use the cw collection app.

All systems are Could be improved, but everything is there.

The app could certainly improve a lot, but in the end it works with it.

I join Jozef.

One of the main reasons I use CW is the fact that you can link multiple areas. My main collection is Records and CDs, but I link magazines, tickets, books, DVDs and whatnot to them.

The Android app has been in need of improvement for years. There is not even a search engine in it ... If I want to see what I have from Zappa, I have to scroll through more than 2400 items ..... But for lack of better ...

I have also been working with Catawiki for a while, but as mentioned in the first message, I may have to get used to it a bit.
What I did notice is that my photos are rotated 90 degrees.
I took the photos with my phone.
Maybe that's the problem?
I have already used CW and the photos were rotated there too.

That was also a bit the reason that I was looking for something else.
But perhaps by using it a lot and finding out what it is with the photos, I would like to try Catawiki further.

I'm concerned that Windows 10 presents all "landscape photos" as portrait photos. I always update the photos with The Gimp and then export them as jpg. Works well. Then upload to Catawiki.

I don't quite understand the question either? Then why are you a member of CataWiki? You are to keep track of your collection and / or to sell / offer items. There is another app for the auctions, it is better to add items on your laptop or tablet, because a phone is actually too small for it. You also have more space for multiple tabs and you can better view search results to see if your item to be entered is already there. Then all you have to do is click the Add to My Collection button. The CW Collect app is useful for taking your collection to a fair offline.

Sorry my question is not clear.

Regarding the photos. I make these on my phone and then use my computer to add items to my collection.
As mentioned before, I find Catawiki's way of managing "my collection" or adding items a bit cumbersome.
As mentioned, I also use CW on my phone and it works well.

I was just curious if there were others who happened to be using other programs or apps for their collection.

@ Jecho66, using catawiki is not at all cumbersome, you do it yourself

if you want to keep track of your collection from the cw catalog, then this is not cumbersome.

if if you only want to work in "my collection" without involving the catalog, then this is simply not possible.

from the catalog to your collection, you will receive all the info mentioned in the catalog for free , and with this the complete picture of the input (photo or scan) is complete with info.

what more do you want?

or do you just want to place a photo in your collection without info from the catalog?

then I would say make an exell file on your pc at home, enter your own text, and paste your own photo, etc. then you don't have to use cw.

And while you are at the computer, rotate your photos and put them in the CataWiki Catalog if they are not already there. Placing (entering new items) with your phone is indeed a crime. I have that problem too. I will place it, but then later on at the computer I will replace the image with the correctly rotated image (although it will not be placed rotated). so photos to show your own item in your Collection.

@Jecho, I have provided you with 3 items with the text Doublure.

this is because you are apparently just creating a collection and entering it without looking any further in the catalog.

you just need the catalog!!! to optimize your collection.

there are 98 houses in the catalogue, and you simply enter 3 again, so 3 duplicates.

check first before entering anything.

@frenchs

Don't tell anyone, but at the end of last year I requested a hefty bag of money to have a search engine built by Odessey. That money is now almost gone and - that's great! - the search engine is almost finished.
