At this moment I have entered images of Tom Poes Weekblad.
First of all, the first eight episodes are too big for my scanner, but after that I also have trimmed copies. I call on collectors of good copies to adjust the images if necessary

If a book is too big for my scanner, I take a photo of it and post it on Catawiki

You can also scan in 2 parts. Most graphics software can easily stick them together.
Or buy an A3 scanner, of course, but they will easily cost you 150 euros.

Yes, that price is about right, although it depends on whether your A3 scanner buys 600 or 1200. And then via inetrent, because in a “normal” shop they usually all have very expensive almost professional devices of 2 to 3 thousand euros. I myself bought 1 eg for 159 euros last week, a Mustek 1200 dpi (via Marktplaats). Not really cheap in itself, but I thought it was a good investment, because an a4 scanner is no longer sufficient, given the size of books and magazines!

In the end I started looking on the internet for prices of A3 scanners .. First of all, I don't want any problems with the HP all in one printer I now own (A4).
If I then look under HP, I am not ready under € 3000. I do find prices of products with the names Plustek and Mustek with prices between 100 and 700 euros. Not very inviting. Because to what extent are they threatening to my HP software?
Perhaps we should have a collection point with collectors who have a suitable A3 scanner.
Personally, I am happy to have scans made there. That will be a lot cheaper than € 3000, -
Who is offering?
P.S. Rene's suggestion is nice, but you should be quite familiar with the graphics software to get two halves properly connected.

Albert, are you satisfied with the Mustek? I am also curious about it.

I'm curious about that too, but also about collectors who are willing to make their scanner available for A3 sizes

I myself have an Epson GT15000 A3 scanner and also an HP Color Laserjet All-In-One and they don't bite each other.
All-In-One is on ethernet, the Epson at USB .

Hi Rene and Theokop, here are my findings regarding the Mustek that I recently bought. It works fine, and can also easily be combined with my HP PSC -355 all in one. (That does not mix up, as Arco also said, Theokop!)
So I am really satisfied with the purchase (a 1200 dpi A3 scan, but a 600 would have been fine in itself, as you rarely or never higher!) even though the supplied instructions are very thin (the complete manual is on the CD by the way) and the user-friendliness is not entirely optimal, I can handle it well. If you are interested, take a look at http: /www.dijkpc.nl

Hello,
I am using an Optibook 3600 from Plustek.
The advantage of this scanner is that the scanning area extends to the edge of the scanner. The link shows a photo showing that a page from a book or magazine can be scanned up to the binding seam. Also for larger publications I use this scanner to scan the different parts without damage to the original and then stick them back together with photoshop
