Unfortunately only 1 title can be entered for the books.
Is it a good idea to keep the system like the comic books?
So Main Title (Title of the book)
And Subtitles (stories) in the book?

Yes, we will ensure that stories can also be entered in books (just as is already possible with comics). And we will also take over the system of the sub-series from comics).

Hello, entering titles in the case of collections of short stories is of course a good start, but shouldn't the author also be added for each title entered? Of course this is not necessary in a case such as item 945579 , in which all stories are by the same author, but in - say - item 191673 the various authors are listed in a separate list (author), in which case it is not always obvious to assign a story to the respective author. . author link.
In such cases, perhaps the compiler could be included in the 'author' field?

that topic has already been discussed a number of times in the forum. Under construction I understand…

Another annoying thing, some books are given a different title over time, not infrequently because of a popularization by means of a film. "Kiss me and die" (Ira Levin) is one of them. After the (first) film adaptation, a more literal translation of the title "A kiss before you die" was chosen. I will of course bring in "Kiss me and die", but in such a case it should also be possible to make a reference / link to the better known "A kiss before you die" - and vice versa. The same for books where the title will no longer be translated in reprint (Starship Troopers from Heinlein for example)

You can also report alternative / renewed titles in the details. We've been asking for an original title field for a while.

in itself does not matter much, it is a different book and therefore reason to put it up. After that you would then want to see separately that both different titles refer to the same original book by including the original title

If we are talking about titles:

A field with the original title (English, Russian or whatever it is translated from) can also be used for this.

And, while we're at it, a field for a subtitle. There has been discussion about this before, but it is still missing.
