Is it useful to use a QR code for a search?

ABRABER
I'll just ask the question that probably everyone has: how would you like to use a QR code?

Pretty interesting question ABRABER . For example, with stamps, with a code, I can request data from this stamp. Perhaps this can indeed be combined with LD?.

This was the first with such a code in Germany, #8441507 .

The barcode will soon make way for the QR code.

Are there websites where this is already possible? I can't really imagine how that saves time in practice.
With those German stamps, each printed stamp has its own completely unique QR code, so I don't know what useful information can be extracted from it.

ABRABER Charles1971 stripspeldjes
"The barcode will soon make way for the QR code?
And who says that?
And how should that work 'in practice'?
A shopping cart with 100 different products with only a QR code on it?
And one doesn't want to 'work' because of poor quality?
With a barcode, the clerk manually types in the numerical code below the barcode. Dissolved.
How do you do that with a stamp with a poor quality QR code?
How do you get the information behind the QR code?

You get much more information from a QR code.
Maybe both on the packaging.

Jilles and others have already been announced in 2023 (possibly starting in 2027).
official source

That's all well and good, we will be made aware of it.
The biggest problem will be: who will post the 'if it happens' code...

Can still be thought about.... knowing that QR codes cannot be hacked, but it is possible to replace a QR code with another or to create a QR code (you can oneself) that redirects to malicious content. ;-)

Yes, you can get more information from a QR code.
But you do need a smartphone to read it.
And there is no obligation to have one.
And there are more of them than you think...
But certain products are required by law to contain certain statements.
So you cannot 'put' that information behind a QR code.
After all, everyone must be able to read/view that information 'by law'.
All that remains is the 'packaging' to do this...
What additional information can you provide/put behind a QR code?
The one or other app that then leads you to the site of the manufacturer/organization may still be useful...
For example, if it leads to LastDodo...

Jilles
What are we eating tonight and other recipe tips. is indeed additional information...
As long as I know what I'm eating so that I don't get an allergy.
And for this I look at the 'legal statements' on the packaging.

From 2027, barcodes will be replaced by QR codes.
I just looked it up.
