As you can see, Catawiki numbers on the forum automatically become links to the relevant items.

At 1706175 (and also 594061 ) Themes and Specials had already been completed by plexat, only he should have changed the title as well. I still did.

1706183 continues to intrigue me every time I come across it. No idea what it represents.

I think 1706187 is a coin of 20 or 50 Belgian centimes (e.g. 792529 ) with a pin soldered on it, but only a scan of the back can give a definitive answer.
There are more of them ( like this one). I'm not quite sure what to think of it. This way you can of course make a pin out of every coin. On the other hand, there are apparently several collectors who have them in their collection, which suggests that they are not casual hobby crafts, but that they were once manufactured as pins in larger or smaller numbers.

I had already supplemented 1656821 with all the information I could find.

I don't know the rest either. Russian and other eastern bloc pins in particular remain difficult to interpret

I can tell you that your photos are so blurry that hardly any information can be extracted from them. In addition, you should enter the two pins separately in the catalog. So those are two reasons why I (as administrator of the pin section) will have to disapprove your input.

Furthermore, I don't think there are many connoisseurs of Chinese pins on the pinboards. Billions have been made, but until Catawiki becomes popular in China you will just have to wait and see if someone supplements or corrects the information in the catalog. That is why it is important that this input can be deciphered.

We have the same problem with Soviet-Russian badges, which unfortunately cannot be arranged thematically for me because nobody knows exactly what they represent. (And because the Cyrillic alphabet is still not available on Catawiki.)

I photographed them peer 2 because the pins are both almost identical qia image

I will do my best for a better one separately, see you later and I will wait again

I like a white background better, but that is a personal preference. There are collectors who use a black background as standard, or a wooden table top, or foam plastic. I think that's all fine, as long as the pins are easy to distinguish. The information itself is more important than whether all images look the same.

Best,

I have a question about 3 old brooches.
Could you please tell me if these items are really old and what the value might be.
I hope to hear from you.

hello everyone,

what is the best way to present an unknown pin to fellow collectors?

is that

A. photograph a pin and include it in my collection (so that it is assigned a number!), with virtually no information about the pin except for material and a photo, and then wait for someone to complete that specific pin?

or

B. Submit a photo on the forum, and see if anyone knows

if B would like to hear how a photo is posted in the forum ..

grt
