In this series, the original Wolverine (Logan) has died. His genetic clone, Laura Kinney (formerly known as X-23), takes up the mantle of Wolverine. She tries to live up to his legacy by leaving her murderous past behind and never killing anyone again.
The main storyline (known as “The Four Sisters”) begins when Laura discovers that four genetically modified clones of herself have been created in a laboratory. She sets out to protect her “sisters” from the scientists who want to use them as weapons. Along the way, she receives help from allies such as Doctor Strange, Gabby (her youngest clone/sister), and Captain America.
