If the appearance of a series is a se-tenant, it will be included once as a series
and se-tenant. Only if the stamps of the series have also been issued separately will both the series with individual stamps and the se-tenant be included separately
I have often pointed out that this is an impossible definition. And if it is difficult for an expert, it is certainly impossible for the average importer. I'm glad others are having the same problem. But yes, the earth will remain flat.

Charles1971 Postmarks are in the Other section and not in Stamps. I think you should go to the Other forum and not Stamps.
But nevertheless, I'm curious about the response of Collectioneur to provide 161K items for a month/day if you only need 5K at most.

portbetaald Such links point to items (and are therefore incorrect). If you want to refer to Issuance, you must do so in a different way and you will have to give us the right direction.

You cannot (automatically) refer to (numbers of) collection areas in this way, only to individual items.

portbetaald ,
your links point to other sections, not to se-tenants and blocks/sheets, stamps. I don't quite understand what you want to achieve?.

Collectioneur ,

Is there a possibility to add the month and day fields to the other Postmarking [philately] section? This is because these are important data in the postmark. And the sorting per year will also improve, if completed of course.

Maybe this is not the right forum to post this message. But my opinion is that postmarking has a lot to do with stamps. In addition, I couldn't find the right forum.

The links point to the entire Issue so that you can see the se-tenant items in context with the blocks/sheets from which they come. I don't know more about these stamps than this. Are they “issued as se-tenant” or not? That question is relevant to using the manual properly

The numbers mentioned refer to items other than stamps. Typed wrong numbers?

I simply filled out the contact form earlier today as seemed to be the procedure for aspiring administrators.

It was also brought to my attention that there may be another category of systematic issues in city mail. Manual §10 states:

If the appearance of a series is a se-tenant, it will be included once as a series
and se-tenant. Only if the stamps of the series have also been issued separately will both the series with individual stamps and the se-tenant be included separately

So apparently there is a case for Se-tenant+Series. What I struggle with is when a series is "released as se-tenant"

Examples:
  1. #5959997 - Series is in block as se-tenant
  2. #4341179 - There is a sheet in which the series can be found 6 times as a se-tenant
  3. #5809639 - Series is on 2 separate se-tenants coming from bridge sheets A3 with 10 of those series

I can imagine that this is the prototypical example of 1, but I have no idea whether the stamps were also available separately. I don't see it that way about 2. and 3. I like to have series in my collection because at least I know that I have them all. For me, a series of individual stamps is really different from a se-tenant. I do this so that I keep a clean collection and shortage list.

I see §10 consciously for the first time; it goes directly against how I keep my collection so I'm unhappy if I interpret it correctly.

We do not discuss whether or not to become an administrator on the forum.
The super administrators of sections give me advice on whether or not to appoint administrators.

postmaster Collectioneur Please respond regarding administrator yes/no.
portbetaald Collectioneur Maybe leave these duplications alone. If the answer is "yes", this is a good exercise in what an administrator can do.

Raoul62 I went through all the Sheets, Blocks, Series, Se-tenants and Bridge Pairs in NL Stadspost. Everything is now - I think - good. There remain 14 duplicates, 12 of which can be removed without further ado and 2 that have a search list entry.

https://www.lastdodo.nl/nl/areas/100293-nederland?cf%5B7857%5D=391715&q2=DOUBLURE

If you come across anything that I overlooked, please let me know. After a while I sometimes become a bit chicken. In addition to the FDC duplication that Collectioneur will look into, the Netherlands will then be clean of (detected) duplication, so let's tidy it up

Could an administrator provide two people I just added with the necessary aliases and check my input?

Implemented:
Fortuyn, Pim [1948-2002] - alias Fortuijn, Pim [1948-2002]

I didn't enter all his first names, but he has quite a few: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pim_Fortuyn

Implemented:
Oranje-Nassau, Mabel Martine Wisse Smit van [1968]

You can think of all kinds of aliases... she has quite a name history

https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mabel_Wisse_Smit

Thanks in advance.

I have supplemented the item with the information here and the number BO8 from the specialty catalog [which I should have consulted earlier because I just have it :-)]. It's listed for €40 in that catalog, so that seemed like the most accurate price indication to me

Don't know the circulation of this FDC. I suspect that there were envelopes left over from the "Churches in wartime" issue and these were used for the flood disaster of 1953, hence the beams on the side.

The catalog value of "the churches in wartime" is 200 euros and of the "flood disaster" 40 euros", although the catalog value is only a guideline.

And it is complete if you also check the "Surcharge" theme, as is done with all Dutch children's stamps.

Petvre So as I said, it doesn't look good. I could adjust it, but I don't know enough about it. Are you doing the necessary since you have the confirmation?
Nominal value: 5 and 10
Details: Value 5(+2) and 10(+2), tax on war works.
