The First Move kwam uit Enschede. In 1967 kwam hun eerste single, getiteld "My Love has Gone / A Hard Day's Fight" uit op het Decca-label. (AT 10 285). Actief tussen 1967 en 1972 waarin de groep 5 singles opnamen. Na het uiteenvallen van de groep treffen Carel Swagerman aan in de Gooise groep Husky.
