Try searching on Google with Google Lens.
For the 1st label I find: Bitolsko Pivo from North Macedonia, svetto (= light) beer from producer Pivara in Botola, North Macedonia.
The second label is Russian. Krasnaya Bavaria (= Red Bavaria), Agropom brewery from Leningrad.

My father collects beer labels and recently received two beer labels from what appear to be Russian breweries from someone.

Can anyone help identify these further, as I can find very little information about these labels online.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Jummeke , Ewald63 , the question to enter a brand isn't immediately clear to quite a few people. Despite the description (which might not always be read). Now it's clear, thanks for that. I'm also working on updating several brands to the correct description.

Ewald63
From the manual:
Brand
● The name of the brewery
It must be me that, even after reading the manual, I don't understand anything or don't know any Dutch?
You have a Brand field and just below that a Brewery field.

I'm not talking about people not reading the manual or incorrect input.

The manual seems clear to me.

Brand
● The name of the brewery, without any indication of "brewery" or location, so Oersoep, Heineken, Jopen, Amstel, etc.
● Exceptions to this are certain series within a beer brand, such as the Gerardus Wittems Kloosterbieren from Gulpener Bierbrouwerij and the "Bocht! Niet te zuipen Maaswater" series from Trots Bier. ● If it concerns a collaboration brew, then "Collaboration brew" is entered as the brand, and not the names of the breweries. This will be discussed in the "Brewery" section.

Unfortunately, not everyone takes the time to look at the adjacent explanation when entering or editing information. As a result, the Brand section is either not filled in or is filled in incorrectly.

$$$$$$ The question isn't when you'll review or correct all the input. The question is what should be included in the Brand according to the manual.

That would be great. It works best to select "All new labels" for Beer Labels and then sort by "Show list."
Then the title and brand will be listed together, and similar names will be noticeable. I'll check them accordingly, taking your changes into account.

I'm on vacation for the next few weeks and have time to look into this. There's been a significant influx of labels lately, and some adjustments do indeed need to be made.

The brand and title definitely need to be updated as well. Any help with this is welcome, Alexander-Boers. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ewald63, I see the title is repeated under brand. I understand, but it doesn't match the manual. It's incorrect in several places. How should I handle this?

Alexander-Boers To me a Brand is a brand and a Brewery (the field below) is a brewery?!
Ewald63 can explain what's going on with that manual.

Hi, when I look at the brand, I often see a repetition of the title instead of, as the manual states, "The name of the brewery, without the "brewery" designation." See, among others, #8905109 , #7219239 , #7822269 can I change that?

Christmas beers

The oldest beer label in the catalog is number 7181565 : Specialbryg-Jule Bryg Luxus. This Danish label is believed to date back to 1958 and was introduced by mettesfar on April 2, 2018.

Since August 2010, 1,196 Christmas beer labels have been introduced. Looking at the country breakdown, it looks like this:

445 labels from Germany
289 labels from Belgium
151 labels from Denmark
129 labels from France
80 labels from the Netherlands
33 labels from the Czech Republic
20 labels from Great Britain & Northern Ireland
10 labels from Sweden

And in addition there are some labels from Australia, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.

But what makes a beer a Christmas beer?
Christmas beer is a special and beloved beer style that perfectly captures the atmosphere and coziness of Christmas. It's a beer that celebrates tradition and craftsmanship. This beer is ideal for drinking during cold winter evenings. What makes Christmas beer so special is the complexity of its flavors. It's a strong, full-bodied beer with a warming alcoholic finish. The sweet maltiness is often combined with spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves, creating a beautiful balance of flavors.

Since when have we known Christmas beers?
[1] At the end of December 1896, two cafés in Charleroi (Belgium), the Cheval Arabe and the Globe, both known for their English beers, advertised the English Christmas beer. The beer was only available for a limited time.
In the years that followed, more Belgian cities followed suit, selling 'Double Scotch Christmas Ale' and 'Scotch-Ale Christmas Beer' from England. Besides Scotch Ale, pale ales and stouts also appeared.

A well-known Christmas beer was the Gordon X-mas, registered in 1934 by the well-known Belgian-English importer John Martin. It still exists and has been produced especially in Scotland all that time, until a few years ago the Palm brewery was allowed to start producing it. It was not the 'first Christmas beer on the continent' but it is one of the longest-standing. ( 5146491 )

What's the best way to drink Christmas beer?
To fully enjoy Christmas beer, it's important to serve it correctly. Start by chilling the beer to a temperature of about 8-12°C, or follow the instructions on the back label.
Use a tulip glass to serve the Christmas beer for optimal flavor and a beautiful presentation. When pouring, tilt the glass and pour carefully, gradually tilting the glass upright. This will create a nice head of foam.

Happy holidays and a great collecting year in 2026.

Hi fazerco and Collectioneur, I hadn't noticed this yet, thanks for letting me know. I have two labels myself and noticed they were different (with a German flag). I'll scan those and add them too. So, a third variant ;-)

Dear fellow beer label collectors,
The year 2024 is almost behind us. And it was a great year for collecting. The number of labels has grown considerably again.
If I look at the past 5 years, I come to the following figures:
End of 2020: 21,524 labels
End of 2021: 34,684 labels
End of 2022: 54,167 labels
End of 2023: 57,881 labels
End of 2024: 63,588 labels (increase of 5,707 labels)
The number of German, Belgian, French and now also Spanish beer labels will have increased significantly in 2024.
When I look at the countries below in our catalogue I see the following:
  • Germany 29,792 labels (increase of 1,758 labels)
  • Netherlands 8,513 labels (increase of 407 labels)
  • Belgium 7,654 labels (increase of 1,345 labels)
  • France 3,587 labels (increase of 1,101 labels)
  • Spain 1,158 labels (increase of 485 labels)
It is also nice to see that many very old labels have been introduced, such as labels from the former East Germany. You can clearly see the development of the labels both in the designs and in the information on the labels.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone for their contribution to the beer label section. Not only for the input of new labels, but especially for editing and/or supplementing data. This increases the informative value of our LastDodo collection section.
I wish you happy holidays and a great collecting year in 2025.
Ewald63
