buizer so it is a decorative ceramic cork designed to hang on the wall, so in principle not to put in a bottle

That is of course part of the problem. What exactly do collectors mean by “ceramics”

Ceramics is currently still a kind of theme section, just like Glass & Crystal, but based on material.
Should we take the time to consider how everything will work out better?

The "artifacts" of Ceramics and Glass & Crystal, for example, could be placed under a new Visual Arts section.
Divide the utensils among the objects, and perhaps later make them into independent categories. This also makes it clearer to those searching for tableware, among other things, where this is located in LastDodo.
However, there are no detailed ideas about this yet, but it is a line of thought.

That is of course part of the problem. What exactly do collectors understand by “ceramics” as a collectible? What belongs in that section and what does not? Isn't it more of a thematic section?

(PS sincere question, I don't have the answers.)

What is it? (bottle stopper)
No matter what is it? (ceramic and cork).
And it's a bottle stopper. So at Other.
Input always based on what the item is as an object.
Not what is depicted (= field theme) or the materials (= field material) of which it consists.

No, not everything. Only objects of which there are so few that they do not (yet) deserve their own (main) category.

Before you do something so drastic, I would first talk to an experienced artist. Otherwise you may destroy the image. Usually brushing with water also helps. But weathered and patina-covered statues are usually more beautiful than new statues.

Hello, I have a strange green deposit on an unglazed statue next to the pond. Can I remove this by firing the image again at 700 degrees?

Thank you Collecteur good tip and I just looked it up. The shape could indeed be possible, but I can't find anything similar on the internet where the glass is also melted in strands around it, it seems to me that these are the only two. So also no idea if they are genuine, I read that the master glassmakers of Murano signed it,

I received 2 vases, carafes, glass art or whatever you want to call it from an inheritance from a family member, but I have no understanding of glassware at all, so I would like to know more about it. Whoever they came from loved antiques and exclusive pieces and they have been on the shelf for a very long time, so I think they are from the mid 20th century. I'm not sure about the latter and I've already searched with the photos on google lens for comparable models but no result, unfortunately there is no engraving in it either.
I don't really care about the value because I want to keep them myself, but could someone give some more information about these objects? I would love to learn more about the origin, brand, type, which glass blower, etc. I hope you can help me on my way, thanks in advance!

Hi All,

I bought a set of cups. Various sizes; with without 'ear'. All signed. I would love to get info on them! Anyone recognize style and/or signature?

Have a nice day.

Do the same for SERAX pots. Really bad quality ! Don't buy SERAX anymore. Also very customer unfriendly.

Perhaps a pottery / stoneware expert is watching the Forum:

Kitten and dog bought as a matching set, but I suspect from various manufacturers. Whether the figurines are older than 20 or 30 years I don't know, they are in any case not recent because I (the kitten in any case) already encountered on markets decades ago.

Kitten #9463503 is marked under HK. the dog #9463519 I couldn't find a tag.

Searched for figurines as well as ceramics on lastdodo from manufacturers and also on the internet, but no "match".

Chances are small that I will find out more through the forum, but never shot is always ...

The question is also what kind of material this is, glazed plaster??

Not really Meissen. The "Z" reminds me of Swiss (Zurich) porcelain, but I don't recognize the stove pokers either.

I see two swords (or stove pokers) with a big Z.

That only reminds me of

but I don't believe he made pottery ;-)

Not a Meissen in any case, perhaps an imitator, but I can't recognize what kind of scale it is.
You can enter it into the catalog with all the information you do know, then someone else might be able to complete it someday.
