Medals/City of Antwerp Wedding Medals, more info?2 messages

My grandfather recently gave me two medals made by the City of Antwerp for his parents' gold and diamond weddings. But he didn't really know any more than that.

Can anyone tell us more about that?

Are these medals still being made? And what material are they made of? I suspect (colored) bronze because of the weight?
