Sinds vanochtend kun je de Appstore de Catawiki iPad app downloaden.
De afgelopen maanden hebben we samen met een testpanel van vier Catawiki gebruikers (Arco, Willem-Naber, Ferfin en JeroenV) de app ontwikkeld en het resultaat is erg gaaf geworden.
De iPhone App en de iPad App zijn overigens dezelfde app. Dus gebruik je de iPhone app dan krijg je vandaag een update. De iPhone app werkt nog steeds op dezelfde manier, met één uitzondering: strips, boeken en tijdschriften wordt nu op een logische manier getoond: binnen een serie wordt er gesorteerd op volgnummer in serie net zoals op de site.
Hierbij een korte overzicht wat je allemaal kan verwachten in de iPad app.
Het bekijken van je verzameling of zoeklijst ziet er als volgt uit: aan de linkerkant staat de navigatie balk en rechts zie je direct alle items die je geselecteerd hebt. Als je klikt op het item krijg je direct de details te zien.
Als je de iPad een slag draait dan wordt de navigatie verborgen en kun je nog meer items tegelijkertijd bekijken. Door links boven in op de button met de streepjes te klikken komt de navigatiebalk weer terug. Precies zoals je zou verwachten.
Als je bovenaan op het ikoontje klikt met het stapeltje foto's krijg je een slideshow van je verzameling. Met een swipe beweging kun je zo door je verzameling heen bladeren. Dit is heel cool!
Verder we ook een zoekfunctie ingebouwd om snel items in je verzameling of zoeklijst op te zoeken. Die is beschikbaar via het ikoontje met het vergrootglas.
Daarna zijn nog twee andere functie's ingebouwd. Je kunt rechtstboven in bepalen of je curiosa al dan niet wilt laten zien. En we hebben de sorteervolgorde voor Strips, Boeken en Tijdschriften aangepast. Als je een serie bekijkt dan wordt er gesorteerd op nummer in serie.
Nog een handigheidje: als je twee keer op het Verzameling of Zoeklijst ikoontje klikt dan spring je direct weer naar het hoogste niveau toe. Je krijg dan weer het overzicht te zien van de (indien van toepassing) 1.000 meest recente items die zijn toegevoegd aan je verzameling of zoeklijst.
Oh, en one more thing... de app is gratis!

If you turn the iPad one turn, the navigation is hidden and you can view more items at the same time. By clicking on the button with the dashes at the top left, the navigation bar returns. Just as you would expect.
If you click on the icon with the stack of photos at the top, you will get a slideshow of your collection. With a swipe movement you can browse through your collection. This is very cool!
We also built in a search function to quickly find items in your collection or wish list. It is available through the icon with the magnifying glass.
After that, two other functions are built in. You can determine in the top right whether you want to show curiosities or not. And we've adjusted the sort order for Comics, Books, and Magazines. When you watch a series, it is sorted by number in series.
Another trick: if you click twice on the Collection or Search list icon, you will immediately jump back to the highest level. You will then see an overview of the (if applicable) 1,000 most recent items that have been added to your collection or search list.
Oh, and one more thing ... the app is free!

Het was bijna precies 9 maanden geleden dat ik het eerste ontwerp mocht zien. Ik ben blij met de geboorte van de jongste telg in de Catawiki-familie!
