Ha Sharkey,

Posters have been issued in 2 formats:

74 x 110 cm and 20.5 x 29.7 cm

In addition, the poster is printed in a small format on a heavy paper type and a version on a very thin paper type.

So it depends on size and paper quality what it's worth.

In my opinion, it would save a lot of work if it was possible to use the input form of the previous edition for a reprint. The activity can then be limited to updating what has changed.

not really bad problems but more annoying:

- & gt; I notice that the icon next to my name indicates that I have a new message while it is an old and read message

It is not on all pages, only on the main pages because the forum and individual items are back to normal. when I go to another page the new message is there again without a new message.

- & gt; if after I have logged in I change the language from English to Dutch (which is necessary for the forum visit, I will be logged out and have to log in again for Dutch. I would like to stay logged in during language change.

Good point. This is because that field was added later. Can be solved quickly I think, I put on our ToDo.

When adding bulk, not all fields are available: For strip, the LOCATION field is not available. Can this be adjusted. Greetings Stuvvi

In my collection you can only edit strip per strip. It would be very time-saving if this could be done in bulk for the fields Available in own copy. Greetings Stuvvi

At Suske en Wiske under the name Advertising publications Multi Pass there are also 8 albums with such a sticker on it from Multi Pass.

You can also remove these.

The difference is in the compass in the center of the circle. Hopefully it will be clearer with the 2 images:

This discussion is also present on the comics as it is more of a topic there than here, but I would still like some advice on this:

how do I enter sets? I'm talking about the Vatican Year Set, for example, where there are several examples of it.

I can enter it just like the previous ones, but it would be great if it was also displayed as a group of individual coins. As far as I understand, Catawiki is still working on this 'bundling'.

Until then, should I only enter this as a set (so that it can be split later)? Or also as individual coins (so that this can be bundled later)?

Finally, the question about the holders, I know that preference is given to loose coins (on photos, etc.) but some come in a specially issued holder. should I make a difference or just leave it in my own notes if this is the case.

thanks in advance

Thomas,

I have now identified the coin and put it in Catawiki with a full description (Catawiki number: 1548295 )

No Alexander the Great, but certainly no less interesting!

It is a rare gold Stater of the Aetolian (Aitolian) League (Aetolian League) minted between 279 and 168 BC.

Front:

Head of Pallas Athene with helmet and hanging earring to the right. A coiled serpent on the helmet.

Reverse:

Aitolia with sceptre/spear and Nike sitting right on stack of shields. At her feet is a small male figure with a spear. In left field: AITOLON in Greek letters. Monogram in trim.

Information about the Aetolian League can be found here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aetolian_Bond

Two types of this coin are listed in the Catalog of the British Museum:

See: http://www.chijanofuji.com/BMCCatAetolia1.jpg

But your coin does not exactly match these types, although it is much more like the description of the 2nd one.

Here is the image of the type 1 specimen from the British Museum:

http://www.chijanofuji.com/BMCspecimen.jpg

In that variant, therefore, no small standing figure at Aitolia's feet. Although not very clear, it is there with your coin.

As I mentioned in the details of your coin's catalog entry, 1 specific example of this type of coin very similar to yours has been auctioned three times (in 1991, 2002 and 2003):

-Numismatic Fine Arts XXVI (August 14, 1991), lot 72, proceeds $3500.
-Classical Numismatic Group, Inc., Mail Bid Sale 60 (May 22, 2002), lot 509, proceeds $3600
-Classical Numismatic Group, Inc., Mail Bid Sale 64 (September 24, 2003), lot 174, proceeds $3850.

Although this coin is not 100% identical to your coin (Pallas Athene does not have a nice hanging earring on that example) and your coin shows much more wear on the reverse side, this should give you a good impression of its value...

You can find the last 2 auctions of this coin at CNG online at the following places:

http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=31929

and

http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=31907

Besides in the BMC Catalog (Vol 7, Thessaly to Aetolia, Aetolia #1 and #2), specimens of this type of Aetolian gold stater are also mentioned in :

-"Syllogue Numismatique Greque (SNG) Copenhagen", Vol 13, Aetolia-Euboea. (1944), #1 ,

-An auction catalog from Naville Co, titled " Monnaies Grecques Antiques provenant de la Collection de feu le prof. S. Pozzi . " (April 4, 1921, Geneva), lot #1323,

See http://www.chijanofuji.com/Pozzi1323.jpg

(Unfortunately, the online version of this auction catalog was missing just a few pages, including the one with the image of this coin... )

and in an article on Aetolia by AJ Reinach in "Journal International d'Archéologie Numismatique (JIAN)", Vol XIII, (1911), #33.

See: http://www.chijanofuji.com/JIANp198.jpg

Best regards,

Chijanofuji

That is certainly not worthless. You mean 1318845 ?! At least one Catawiki user is looking for that (in new condition).

Chaland is still fiercely collected, but I think you should look for buyers mainly in France.

Tintin in Congo is such an example, but not so violent.

'Out of my sun congomens !!!' has the lips of Lambik sometimes escaped ...

That was the world view at that time. The smart white and the stupid blacks.

Alice and Leopold also touch on that theme in The copper crosses 20567 but that is from 1995.

But unfortunately I can't help you, hopefully someone else can.

Besides an x number of comics (which I already have in Catawiki) I also have a nice laundry list of Prince Bootlegs. I now have a nice overview in Excel, but I prefer to have this run through Catawiki. My first question is of course: how do I get this done. Is there a tool that can transfer this automatically? secondly, can there be bootlegs in Catawiki? I now have my overview in FileAmigo 7. If it is allowed and possible, what conditions must the Excel sheet meet in order to be imported? Thank you in advance for your help!

Greetings,

Bleha

In my youth (late 1960s) there was a comic book album at home that possibly took place in the atmosphere of the colonization of the Congo by Belgium (although that is not certain), but in any case about the exploitation of blacks by whites. After all, the comic album featured very violent passages, such as blacks who were buried to the waist, or who died with many at a stake ...

Title, publisher ... I have no idea. The comic album appeared to have disappeared during the cleaning up of the parental home.

As a child and in the context of that time, you don't think enough about that, but now it raises a lot of questions in me how that could be, that such racist comics were just in circulation. After all, we lived in the countryside in Flemish Brabant (Belgium) and comic strips were not as commonly available as now.

Is there anyone among the collectors among you who remembers such comics?

A question about a Chaland:

I have an affice for the festival below (looks the same as the festival program booklet, of course a bit bigger)

Is that still worth anything?

7ème festival de bande dessinee d'Hyeres

For situations like this, the administrator tool I requested (about a year and a half ago?) To send an email to all users associated with an item would come in handy. (;-)

Yep, we're also going to make it.

rejection is no longer necessary. Afterwards, jdw did indeed make a second one with that cover so that it now contains the 2 variants.

The 2 variants are now indeed in the catalog, but the problem is that it is now completely unclear who has which version.

Version 1 will be changed in version 2 and then version 1 will be reentered.

Unfortunately, I cannot see who has the original version 1 and who has the version 2.

I therefore have no choice but to merge both items into version 1 ....
