In the catalogue, this album (La Mauvaise Tete) is listed as a 1956 first edition, but the actual French first edition is from 1954. Even now, in the current auction, a 1956 copy is listed as the first edition. That is incorrect. It should be corrected in the catalogue.

Harry56 I didn't immediately spot any defects in the photos of The Spectacular Spider-Man #119 either. But if you look at the inside of the first page near the spine, you can see that there are some creases in the page. That could then also be slightly visible in the spine of the cover.

A 10 (Gem Mint) does occur, but very rarely. Usually with modern age comics that go directly from the print shop to the grader. There are also silver, bronze, and copper age comics with this grading, but these become increasingly scarce as the period gets older. Logically, the safeguarding of comics in a grading case did not exist at that time.

I almost never give comics a grade higher than 9.4. In the exceptional case that a comic is truly convincingly better than a maximum of 9.6. I don't go any higher.

Dutch comic albums can be treated similarly. An album that is new in the store does not mean it is a 10. Tiny defects can occur, for example, during the journey from the printer to the store, or from passers-by who have leafed through it.

This time, the Grader Notes are included again to support the photos:

DutchComics from the photos I didn't see any flaws. Do you also have a 10 or is that an illusion? For example, the Dupuis softcovers that looked like new in the store always had something of a Smurf about them, often the spines...

ApiSta definitely a lot better ;-) With an 8.5 you will see more minor defects. Usually more visible, such as small creases in the spine where white fold lines have formed.

May I ask which moderator removed my topic?

My topic is not an advertisement, but a request for help regarding whether anyone uses Discord and if anyone is interested in helping me.

The server is intended for everyone who likes comics. The reason I am creating this is because most of my generation use Discord more, and they would like to come across a Discord server dedicated to Dutch-language comics!

I hope you now understand what my intention is!

Thanks, everything has been adjusted or merged, please check.

I am not personally familiar with either of the Lemuria series, so I would appreciate advice from other custodians/collectors on whether to consider these as cycles.
