Just search for 'ams clock manual'.
You can already find 7 manuals.
Or contact AMS yourself...

It was a tip.
Maybe not an immediate solution to your problem, but you didn't ask for a manual.
How is your German?

This information is too limited to even give an answer to that question.
Is the clock already in the Clock Catalog?
If not, please enter this first, adding as much information as possible.
Maybe someone can say something about it.

Bought a nice clock at the thrift store, who has tips?
This one keeps stopping, maybe it's pulled up too high?
Who has tips?
Greetings from the old fart.

Welcome to LastDodo. Usually, you hear people turn their hobby into their job, but in your case, it seems the opposite :-) It's great to read this and that you're actively working to learn more about your hobby. Good luck and, above all, have fun repairing the weighing bell.

Nice to meet you, Anton van der Vlugt! I'm a secondary school teacher, teaching technical subjects at pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) in Dordrecht. I'm interested in old technology, wood, metal, etc., as well as mechanics like clocks and watches. Because I'm currently home due to a hernia, I'm busy restoring clocks from the 19th and 20th centuries.
I've just received a small weighing clock from someone and want to restore it, but I don't know much about it. Can anyone tell me more about this unique clock?

Warm greetings!

Anton Sr.

Hello everyone,
I am looking for the smallest possible striking clocks for a work of art, from which I remove the casing and when they strike each hour they touch a wire with crystals attached to them that then tap against each other and make a nice sound.
I have no idea how I'm going to approach this, Google isn't responding well to my description and to be honest I have no idea what I'm looking at
Are there people who can point me in the right direction because I would prefer to have about 4 of them?
Of course as cheap as possible, otherwise I know the way
Thank you in advance
Tim

@ 102sander102

Take a look at the clock auction or ask the relevant auctioneer.

Hello,

I recently came into possession of a nice small, but very heavy clock from the Imhof brand. Now it doesn't match the decor of my house and so I want to get rid of it. I'm just wondering if he's worth anything. It says 15 Jewels on Imhof and it is richly decorated. It weighs a lot for such a small clock and it runs perfectly. See the links for photos.

@ Grad046
Who can help me with information about an alarm clock from the H.A.C. with the sign of Crossed Arrows.

First enter that alarm clock at the Alarm clocks . Then you can refer to it in your forum post.

Who can help me with information about an alarm clock from the H.A.C. with the sign of Crossed Arrows. The strange thing about this alarm clock is that it has a round chime in the back cover.

The alarm clock has a diameter of 11 cm and a depth of 6 cm. Probably 1910. Some photos can be found under Catawiki number 6324707 .

Mvg Grad046

Hello Kwant

Gaul is the name of the seller / shop. Seurre is a town in the French department of Cote d'Or (21). Together with 3 other departments, the Cote d'Or forms the famous Burgundy.

Can you send me a picture and I can tell you what kind of clock it is. Maybe a Comtoise? Otherwise an accurate description of the appearance, the materials used and the dimensions ....

Greetings

Pierre

But it remains a fun activity.

Hello, unfortunately I am not a clock expert (but I am an enthusiast), but the "engraving" on the clock does not seem to have been placed by the clockmaker. Previously, the owner or donor has scratched his name in it. (wedding/gift/anniversary) The nagging uncertainty about the origin of an object is well known to me.

As an amateur genealogist I googled the name Ed/uard Neyts and here are several mentions of the first name/surname Eduard Neyt/s, especially in the Ghent area. There is also a Neyts family from Belgium who moved to Friesland, these family were coppersmiths in the 19th century.

maybe you can ask/find more information through this way/contact with family's Neyts

good luck

I have (I think) an old antique clock. The name on the dial is: Gallier a seurre. When I enter the name on google I can't really find out about it.

The cabinet is made of wood with very heavy weights. The weights are on a rope that leads to the cupboard.

Who can help me further?

Mvg Kwant

Good evening to everyone.

Promise is guilty: quickly shot a few photos. Can be found under Catawiki number.

5118558. Yes, JozefK about your analysis: then there are at least two of us. But I've had so much fun with our neighbors, that North-South, White Pete - Black Pete, ...

I don't care. I only wake up at night bathed in sweat with the question:

"Who is Ed?"
