and of the example I don't suddenly have 4 pieces with 1 item

Shit! I suddenly remember reporting that bug to Marco and that it has now been fixed. So it may have BEEN something has disappeared, yes, and I didn't feel good about that at all. You're right.

@Arwin: I love it when you're talking dirty to me.
Only a sick mind can think of such a thing. (;-)
However, that method does not work, because items related to a user can no longer be rejected. And after the merge, that user hangs on your 'temporary item'. Same player shoot again!

It is impossible for any administrator to delete something from your collection without you noticing.

This is certainly possible for a super administrator.
When the administrator creates a temporary item, merges the item from chevy with it, and then rejects his item, only the importer (the administrator) will be notified, and chevy will never hear from it again.

Of course it is not the intention for super administrators to work like this, but it is possible.

Goodbye Arco,

I'm not kidding when I say the items are really gone. They are also missing from my collection and I did not suddenly have 4 pieces with 1 item of the example, so it was not put together. I certainly never received any messages about the removal of the items, so I cannot tell you what will happen, but that something is not going well is certain.

I myself would choose the following method:

- Always include numbered and lettered copies. Reason: delineated whole.

- Record unnumbered only if none exist. Is otherwise the same item, so you can include it in your own notes: Unnumbered '.

- Only include signed ones if they are originally signed. Otherwise you will get ghost items with ex-libris that were signed once at a fair. In the latter case, the owner will add to his own notes that he has had him signed.

And you can rest assured: it is impossible for any administrator to delete something from your collection without you noticing. The worst that can happen is that two items have been merged, so you now have that item in your collection twice. Which is actually true. In that sense it is therefore reliable.

I agree wholeheartedly with you that a distinction must be made and therefore all four versions must be included separately, because there are price differences and are also collected separately ...

Continuing on previous threads about deleting and changing items now the following question:

When an ex-libris has multiple variations:

EA

signed

unsigned

numbered

unnumbered

do we consider these as separate items or as 1 and the same item where you have to register which version it is in your own item?

Some time ago, for that reason and without informing me, items disappeared in this way from my collection and from CW and thus from my collection. They are now about to be deleted again: 2147939 , 2147947 , 2147955 .

I do not agree with the reasoning because this is a rule that is only applied in the ex-libris section and because there is a price-technical distinction between signed and unsigned versions, for example. In addition, the decision is taken unilaterally by 1 or a few administrators without it concerns established policy.

How reliable is CW if this happens all the time, how many items have disappeared from my collection without me receiving any notice?

In any case, the EA variant of item 1822147 has already gone up in smoke...

have a classic comic here the evening views of suske en wiske on the island of amoras by willy van dersteen standard publisher. on the actor's side it says: on the island of amoras. this is a unique edition of the very first suske en wiske adventure that took place in 1945-46 appeared on the island of amoras aunt sidonia (then sidonie) and wiske met suske for the first time. in this first adventure lambik and jerom were not yet part of the party, but professor barabas, the genius inventor of the gyronef and the time machine. we wish you a lot of reading pleasure with this classic masterpiece by willy vandersteen. Now it says at the bottom right: this album may not be sold. have been looking here on this site, but don't see this album anywhere and what its value is ... help me find out?

with kind regards, lioness33

In time, a splitting of personal (designed by name) and general (neutral) Ex Librises will also be needed. Eric de Noorman is (probably) an example of the latter category, but the various designs by Anton Pieck are also part of this.

Not anymore, picture was not completely placed.

This is an example of a book exlibris, albeit with a cartoon character 739347

In the long term, a split of personal (designed by name) and general (neutral) Ex Libris will also be necessary. That Eric de Noorman is (probably) an example of the latter category, but the various designs by Anton Pieck also belong to it.

Thanks.

I immediately transferred that invitation, because it is simply not a print or ex-libris.
That display without image is deprecated.
Is this topic also completed?
